Overview

Essential details:IC750LCD440A GE advanced diagnostics 16-channel input module

The IC694ALG232 input module is an advanced diagnostics 16-channel input module. The IC694ALG232 input module supports up to 16 input channels for handling analog voltages. More specifically, the module can be used to provide 8 differential input channels or 16 single-ended input channels. Features of the IC694ALG232 include support for software configuration, per channel-configurable scaling and offsets, fault reporting, high/low, high/high, and low/low alarm detection and reporting, firmware upgrades, hot insertion and removal, positive and negative rates of change in alarms, and diagnostic point fault contacts in the logic program. When installed in an RX3i universal backplane, the IC694ALG232 input module requires an external +24 Volts DC power supply. When installed in an expansion backplane, the power for the IC694ALG232 input module is drawn from the backplane.

The input ranges for IC694ALG232 input module are 0 to 10 Volts (unipolar) or -10 to +10 Volts (bipolar).  The factory calibration for the unipolar input voltage range is 0.3125 millivolts per count and the calibration for the bipolar input voltage range is also 0.3125 millivolts per count. The update rate for single-ended input channels is 5 milliseconds and the update rate for differential input channels is 3 milliseconds. The rated isolation for the field to the backplane (optical) is 250 Volts continuous.  The common mode voltage for the bipolar input voltage range is +11 Volts. The input impedance for the differential mode is greater than 1 megaohm and for the single-ended mode, the input impedance is greater than 500 kiloohms. The input filter responses for the single-ended and differential modes are 23 Hertz and 38 Hertz, respectively. The maximum current consumption of the IC694ALG232 input module is 112 milliamps from the 5 Volts DC backplane.
