Overview

Essential details:IC670ALG620 GE Field Control RTD Input Module

The GE Fanuc IC670ALG620 Field Control RTD Input Module is a solid-state module designed and manufactured by GE Fanuc to accommodate 4 inputs from independent Resistance Temperature Detectors or RTDs. These RTD inputs are compatible with both 3-wire and 4-wire sensors that are made of copper, nickel/iron, nickel, or platinum. The GE Fanuc IC670ALG620 Field Control RTD Input Module has several available configurations that are accessed through GE’s proprietary Bus Interface Unit by using a handheld programmer. If any of the channels is not being used in the user’s applications, it can be configured as an inactive channel. Users can choose among several RTD types according to the pre-defined tables in the module.

IC670ALG620 GE Field Control RTD Input Module

Up to 8 Field Control modules of any type, including the GE Fanuc IC670ALG620 Field Control RTD Input Module, can be connected to a single Bus Interface Unit for controlling a piece of machinery or industrial process. These 8 modules together with their Bus Interface Unit form what is called a Field Control station that is the equivalent of a modular PLC system. The GE Fanuc IC670ALG620 Field Control RTD Input Module is easy to install because it only needs to be inserted into an I/O Terminal Block that is connected to the main Bus Interface Unit in the system. There are 2 resistance ranges to choose from and they are 0 to 500 ohms and 0 to 3000 ohms. There is only one status LED at the front of the module. When the LED is on, it indicates normal module operation, when it is off, the module has no power, and when it is flashing, there is a fault in the module.
