Essential details：FEN-31 HTL encoder interface ABB
FEN-31 is the interface between the control board and the HTL encoder, supporting a variety of HTL types Encoder. The PTC or KTY temperature sensor can be fixed to the cable of the FEN-31 interface Go up.
FEN-31 provides an RS-422 compliant TTL encoder for emulation output and two Digital input. Cable fault diagnosis for some HTL encoder models is also included. More letters Please refer to the firmware manual.
Pins 4 and 5 of connector X81 have two supply voltages. Only one of them can be used for editing Code power supply. Select by placing a jumper on connector X81 as shown below
Optional supply voltage. The following supply voltages can be selected:
• +15 V DC ± 20% 200mA (Max)
• +24 V DC ± 20% 200mA (Max)
An external 10-24 V DC power supply can also be connected to pin 4 of connector X81 And 5. In this case, the jumper must be removed.
FEN-31
Insert FEN-31 into the optional slot of the converter. For more details, see Inverter Hardware manual.
The module is secured with a plastic retainer clamp and a screw. The fixing screws are also provided for connection
The grounding point of the cable shield layer of the module.
When the module is installed, the signal and power supply are automatically connected via a 20-core connector To the frequency converter.
Installation process:
• Carefully insert the module into the entry slot until the plastic reattachment clip is in the locking position.
• Secure the fastening screws.
Note: Proper installation of the fixing screws is necessary to meet EMC requirements and the proper operation of the module All very important.
