The Allen-Bradley 20BD248A0ANNANC0 is an adjustable frequency three-phase PowerFlex 700 AC drive with a 480V AC voltage rating, as well as a 248 A and 200 HP normal duty rating at an input of 480V at 60 Hz. It uses a frame size of 6 and it has a NEMA Type 1, IP20 enclosure. The human interface module (HIM) of this drive is blank and it ships with manual documentation. The Allen-Bradley 20BD248A0ANNANC0 is a PowerFlex 700 Adjustable Frequency AC drive. This drive mainly features an input supply voltage range of 380-480 Volts AC, 3-Phase, and delivers an output voltage of 0-460 Volts AC, 3-Phase. It drives the connected motor via its applicable output power of 200 Horsepower at normal duty and 150 Horsepower at heavy-duty operation along a continuous output current of 248 Amperes.

 

Being part of the PowerFlex 700 drive product family and with a rating of 200 Horsepower, it is provided with inherent capabilities such as Integral EMC filtering; Internal communication; Integral dynamic braking transistor. It is also capable of multiple motor control methods including Volts/Hertz (V/Hz) for fan and pump applications; Sensorless Vector Control (SVC) for torque regulation. The 20BD248A0ANNANC0 is specifically equipped with vector control capability which offers outstanding torque regulation compared to SVC including excellent low speed / zero speed performance. The vector control method utilizes the Patented technology of Allen-Bradley, FORCE technology.

 

Additionally, the 20BD248A0ANNANC0 has a fast-acting Current limit and Bus Voltage Regulation, allowing maximum acceleration and deceleration times without causing tripping of the drive. It supports Flying start used for establishing smooth and instantaneous connection into rotating loads without the need for speed feedback and regardless of the commanded motor rotation direction. It also has an Inertia Ride-through, preventing the drive from tripping by utilizing the stored inertia. This feature is practical in power outages.

 

The 20BD248A0ANNANC0 also comes with integral Proportional + Integral (P+I) controller algorithm, making the drive a stand-alone controller. This eliminates the need of an external PID controller to operate the drive. It also features TorqProve function, which assures control of the load during transfer of control between drive and mechanical brake.
