Product Description
Able to extend transformer life expectancy and optimize transformer performance, the 745-W2-P1-G1-HI-T-H is a GE Multilin Transformer Protection Relay that protects and manages transformer systems small, medium, and large. Part of the 745 series, the 745-W2-P1-G1-HI-T-H employs features such as transformer overload protection and overexcitation protection to keep transformers running smoothly. It also has the ability to monitor, record, and trend system variables such as temperature, voltage, power, energy consumption, and frequency rate-of-change. These values can be quickly referenced using the relay’s software program, Enervista 745.

The Enervista 745 software program can also be used to edit setpoints. Connecting the relay to a computer is easy with GE Multilin’s Quick Connect feature, and connection can be established through Ethernet, the front facing RS232 port, or the RS485/RS422 ports located on the back of the panel. The program heavily assists in managing system settings and is able to automatically flag when programming errors or conflicts are made by users adjusting setpoints.
The 745-W2-P1-G1-HI-T-H’s enhanced 40 character display is larger than the base model and includes an expanded keypad for easier manual entry of setpoints. The case has a height of 9”, width of 7”, and a depth of 7 ⅛”. The transformer protection system can be mounted on a standard 19” panel, and care should be taken that the door to the chassis can freely open and shut without making contact with other components. The front of the case has a number of LEDs that alert users to various statuses and errors in real time.
