In the REA arc fault protection system, the REA103 expansion module is used as the optical detection module. The REA103 expansion module detects light and provides location information to the operator about the fault. The REA103 Arc Fault Protection Module – The expansion module utilizes two ring or radiant fiber optic sensors for optical detection.
REA103 Arc Fault Protection Module – The self-check system built into the expansion module monitors both the operating voltage of the module and the continuity of the sensor fiber ring. Once a fault or abnormal condition is detected, the REA103 arc Fault Protection module – Expansion module sends an alarm to the operator.
