Product Description

The NI PXI-1031 Chassis (Part Number: 778932-01, 190871M-01L) is perfect for specialists and researchers who require a PXI Chassis with diminished acoustic noise emissions for office, lab, and educational settings. The PXI 1031 is compatible with both 3U PXI and CompactPCI modules. This module includes an upgraded cooling feature with an auto/high temperature-controlled fan speed.

The NI PXI 1031 4-slot PXI Chassis has acoustic noise emissions as low as 35 dBA. All four slots are equipped with 8 PXI trigger lines. With its improved cooling limit (it has a slot cooling capacity of 25 W), 300 W general AC control supply, and HALT-tested chassis design, the PXI 1031 Chassis meets the cooling and power necessities of the present high-performing PXI applications. Openings in the top, base, front, rear, and along the right and left sides of the chassis encourage power supply and module cooling. Air enters through the fan inlet in the base of the chassis for module cooling.

To enhance module cooling execution, the user can introduce filler boards (purchased separately) in unused openings. Then, the user can secure them with mounting screws. The user can additionally purchase a carrying handle to make the chassis easy to transport or a rack mount kit for a 19 inch instrument cabinet. The device has a P1 DC input connector, and its system can be configured using the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) tool–which is contained on the NI Driver CD packaged with the device kit.

The PXI-1031 National Instruments Chassis is created with a three-position inlet that associates the cord set ground line to the chassis ground. To limit shock hazard, ensure the electrical plug used to control the suspension has a proper earth security ground. For DC powered applications or if the user’s electrical plug does not have a suitable ground association, the user should interface the premise safety ground to the chassis grounding screw situated on the back board. The device has a weight of 11 lbs., with the dimensions: 6.97 x 10.12 x 8.38 in.
