PR6424/000-100  16mm Eddy Current Sensor

The PR6424/000-100 vortex signal converter (sometimes called a vortex sensor signal conditioner or converter) is a device used with a vortex sensor to convert the raw analog signal generated by the sensor into a standard signal that is easier to process, transmit, or record.

Eddy current sensors are usually used to measure small displacement, vibration, rotational speed and other parameters of metal surfaces, and their working principle is based on electromagnetic induction. When the sensor probe is close to the surface of the conductive material, the high-frequency alternating current in the probe will induce eddy currents in the material, which in turn will affect the magnetic field in the probe, resulting in changes in the probe impedance. This impedance change is converted into a voltage or current signal, but usually this signal is weak and may contain noise and other interference.

The role of the PR6424/000-100 eddy current converter is to receive this weak original signal, amplify, filter and linearize it through the internal electronic circuit, and finally output a clear, stable and proportional to the input displacement of the standard signal (such as 4-20mA current or 0-10V voltage). Such a standard signal can be directly connected to a PLC, DCS, data acquisition system or other control equipment for further processing and control.

The signal converter of this model may have the following characteristics:

High-precision amplification and linearization ensure measurement accuracy
Built-in isolation and shielding measures to reduce electrical noise and interference
Easy to calibrate and adjust to suit different sensors and measurement ranges
Robust industrial grade design for harsh site environments
Possible additional functions such as temperature compensation, fault diagnosis output, etc
