The NI PCI-6071, which used to be known as PCI-6071E, (Part number: 777515-01) is a Multifunction DAQ Device by National Instruments. This model has 64 single ended analog input channels or 32 differential analog input channels. Each channel can operate at the highest sample rate of 1.25 MS/s. The NI PCI-6071 has 16 bits resolution and an input voltage range from ±0.05 to ±10 V. There are also 2 analog output channels with the sample rate of 1 MS/s. Its output resolution range is also 12 bits. The output voltage is ±10 V. The NI PCI-6071 has 8 digital I/O lines (5V/TTL compatibility) and 2 counter/Timer I/O (24 bits at a frequency of 20 MHz).

The National Instruments PCI 6071 is also viable for control applications. This device has a built-in self-adjustment system, which is completely controlled through software. The NI PCI-6071 is free from switches and jumpers. The PCI board is comprised of three groups of timing. These timing groups help control the analog input/output counter and timer functions. The timing groups also control the general-purpose counter/timer functions. The device has a power requirement of +5 VDC to 1.1 A.
The NI PCI-6071 is run using the NI-DAQ7 and can perform DAQ related configurations. This device can also perform bus related configurations. It is completely attuned to industrial standards. This enables the PCI board to perform complete bus related configurations automatically. DAQ related configurations can adjust the analog input mode and analog input polarity. This is done through ADEs like ComponentWorks, LabVIEW, and NI-DAQ, LabWindows/CVI, Measurement Studio, SignalExpress. The device has a 100-pin female 0.050 D-type connector. The device weighs 4.1 oz and has the dimensions: 6.9 x 4.2 in.
