Essential details:MVI56-LTQ Limitorque Valve Actuator Master Communication Module

The MVI56-LTQ is a Limitorque Valve Actuator Master Communication Module manufactured by Prosoft Technology. It is a part of the ControlLogix platform used in industrial automation systems supported by Allen-Bradley control logic. The Prosoft MVI56-LTQ is designed to allow processors that are ControlLogix compatible to communicate in a fast manner with Limitorque Valve Actuators. The best way to describe this device is as an input-output medium between the Limitorque valve network and controlling devices that need to send a large amount of data to these actuators. This device supports 150 valves for the storage and transfer of data from the ControlLogix processor’s controller tags. The data that is distributed from PLC processors is asynchronous from the activities on the actuator network.

MVI56-LTQ Limitorque Valve Actuator Master Communication Module

To be able to transfer data to actuator efficiently, the MVI56-LTQ has 1500-word sized buffer. In this memory, the device can store the ladder logic program that is responsible for the control of actuators in the network. The Prosoft MVI56-LTQ has backplane current load of 800 mA at 5 Volts DC. It can be operated at 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures. It is equipped with 4 LED status indicators that inform the user about module status, backplane transfer status, application status, and serial activity. The module detects hardware problems automatically and turns OK LED on the front of the module to red color. The unit is delivered with RJ45 to DB9M cables for each port and with an RS-232 configuration cable.
