Overview

Essential details:MPL-B320P-MJ74AA Allen-Bradley low inertia synchronous servo

The Allen-Bradley MPL-B320P-MJ74AA servo motor is a 1.5-kilowatt AC motor rated at 5000 rpm with a 50.8-millimeter magnet stack length and a 100-millimeter frame size. The MPL-B320P-MJ74AA servo motor belongs to the MP series of servo motors from Allen-Bradley which includes motors with up to 8000 rpm in speed ratings and with 0.16 to 18.6 kilowatts of output power. The range of the continuous stall torque for the MP series low-inertia motors is from 0.26 to 163 N-m and the range of the peak stall torque is from 0.74 to 278 N-m. MP series motors can work with the Allen-Bradley Kinetix 6000, Kinetix 300/350, and Kinetix 7000 drives.

MPL-B320P-MJ74AA Allen-Bradley low inertia synchronous servo

The MPL-B320P-MJ74AA servo motor is rated for a peak rpm rating of 5000 rpm. Its output rating is for 1.5 kilowatts and input rating is for 400 Volts AC. For mounting, the type-FF free mounting holes on the IEC metric motor flange can be used. Feedback is provided through the onboard 1024 sin/cos absolute multi-turn encoder (with the hiperface protocol). For braking, an integrated 24 Volts DC brake is provided on the MPL-B320P-MJ74AA servo motor. The MPL-B320P-MJ74AA servo motor includes the standard control options. The servo motor can be connected with a cable to any Allen-Bradley Kinetix series drive. This cable interfaces with the motor through the circular DIN connector on the motor which is 180 degrees rotatable. A shaft key is available on the motor, but a shaft seal is not. The default protection rating of the motor shaft is IP 50. The installation of an optional shaft seal will increase the motor shaft protection rating to the IP 66 level. The motor shaft should never be used for handling or lifting the motor.
