Overview

Essential details:MPL-A330P-MK22AA Allen-Bradley MP Series Low Inertia servo motors

The Allen-Bradley MPL-A330P-MK22AA is part of the Kinetix MPL series of Servo motors. This servo motor has low-inertia output that is especially designed for use in applications such as Packaging, Converting, Material Handling, Electronic Assembly and Automative. This servo motor is engineered with high Torque output with reference to its physical size and equipped with Smart Motor Technology wherein drive identity can be easily identified in the network. This servo motor comes without a shaft seal by default and meets IP50 protection. With an appropriate shaft seal installed, specifically MPL-SSN-A3B3, protection rating of IP66 can be met provided that it is used with environmentally sealed cable and connectors.

Shaft seals play an important role in keeping the motor operational as it prevents process liquids or materials from entering the core of the motor. This shaft seal is subject to wear and tear and diminish protection overtime. It is required to be replaced every 3-month, minimum with maximum frequency of once every 12 months.

Additionally, this servo motor is installed with a 1024 sin/cos multi-turn encoder that supports Hiperface protocol, allowing faster communication and exchange of positional data between the motor and the Servo drive, enabling faster response and more accurate and precise motion and position control.

This servo motor is a 200V class motor, operated at a supply input voltage of 230 VAC, 3-Phase with frequency range of 0-233 Hz. It delivers an output power of 1.8 kW and continuous current of 6.0 A (0-pk) along continuous stall Torque of 3.05 Nm or 27 lb-in.

MPL-A330P-MK22AA Allen-Bradley MP Series Low Inertia servo motors

The Allen-Bradley MPL-A330P-MK22AA is a servo motor with low inertia output. It is a compact and energy efficient solution for positioning, packaging technology, robotics, and handling applications in industrial systems. The construction of the MPL-A330P-MK22AA servo motor is based on premium permanent magnet materials inside of the device and on light aluminum housing that helps with an efficient heat transfer. It is a powerful AC motor with 5000 rpm of operating speed that can be used to control the Allen-Bradley Kinetix and ULTRA series servo drives. The Allen-Bradley MPL-A330P-MK22AA servo motor can be connected to servo drives with circular bayonet connectors. These connectors can be easily changed or upgraded with environmental seals for protection.

The Allen-Bradley MPL-A330P-MK22AA servo motor has housing dimensions of 220 millimeters by 90 millimeters by 90 millimeters. It is a low-inertia rotary servo motor with a peak stall torque rated at 98 pounds on an inch. The output power of this compact servo motor is 1.8 kilowatts. Although it can operate within a temperature range of 0 to 40 degrees Celsius, it is advised to use this servo motor only in the middle of this temperature span to keep all of its rated values at their ideal level and to prolong its operating life. The users can order accessories for this Allen-Bradley servo motor for the quick completion of the installation process. Use only shielded cables for making electrical connections to this servo motor. The MPL-A330P-MK22AA servo motor is delivered with a multi-turn encoder for high precision for the feedback signal. This encoder module is installed in the rear part of the motor and it does not need batteries to provide the feedback signal.
