DIN rail is a standard type of metal rail widely used to mount circuit breakers and industrial control equipment in equipment racks. They are a universally interchangeable rack-mount system that is widely used in many industries.
DIN is an acronym for the Deutsche Institut fur Normung, which translates into English as the German Institute of Standards. DIN was originally designed in Germany in the late 1920s, and in the 1970s the name DIN became the official symbol for technical standardization in Germany.
Second, the type of DIN guide rail
There are generally two kinds, mainly the difference in size.
1. TS35 DIN guide rail
The number “35” here refers to the slot distance of the top hat, as shown in the image above. This category can be directly referred to as high cap (similar to deep cap cross section) guide, is generally accepted industry standard, relatively common in the market. The TS35 DIN Rail is suitable for installing electrical industrial control products and components, circuit breakers, motor controllers to remote I/O, transformers, drivers and more.
2. TS32 DIN guide rail
By analogy, “32” means that the DIN rail has a distance of 32mm from edge to edge and has a C-shaped cross section with symmetrical curves on the outer edges. This model is still used in some places and is usually reserved for larger or heavier items such as power supplies and transformers because it provides excellent wall support.
3. Connector for DIN guide rail
The most common type of DIN track connector is the terminal block, whose primary function is to act as a connector and security interface between different components and DIN modules.
