The Emerson / Motorola IPMC712 / IPMC761 Multifunction I/O Modules are optional modules that provide backward compatibility with earlier Motorola Computer Group (MCG) products using the MVME761 or MVME712M transition board. Earlier MCG products include the MVME2600 and the MVME2700 family of SBCs.

The IPMC712 and the IPMC761 can be installed and used on the MVME5100 SBC. Both models are designed around a PMC form factor and both modules incorporate a PCI/ISA bridge, ultra-wide SCSI adapter, and Super I/O functionality. Both modules are single wide, standard length, standard height PMC boards. They attach to the host board PCI bus via the PMC P11, P12, P13, P14, and P15 connectors. Both modules draw +5V and +3.3V through the PMC connectors.
