FC-BKM-001 HONEYWELL Battery And Key Switch Module

The CPU module is one of many modules which can be installed in the Universal Relays series; other modules include power supply, contact input and output, CT/VT, inter-relay communications, and transducer input and output. The series contains lengthy product numbers due to the fact that each segment of the model number corresponds with one of these modules; segments with an “XX” indicate that the module is not installed in the Universal Relay on arrival while segments with a number and letter indicate that it does come with the module. Users can reference the order code tables found in the Universal Relays product manuals for more information.

Frequently Asked Questions about UR-9KH

What are some of the updated features of the CPU UR-9KH designed for GE Multilin universal relays of the UR series?
The UR-9KH is a member of the Universal Relay CPU module type ‘9K’. The 9k CPU modules and the 9J CPU modules have had a hardware revision in 2015 to increase the flexibility in communication for these types of CPU modules. A 10/100Base-T Ethernet port has been added to the 9J and 9K CPU modules with a RJ-45 connection capability. This change allows the UR to connect to an Ethernet LAN cable. The second communication port on the model still remains as a RS485. On the product listing, the first communication port is now designated as the 100Base-RX plus 10/100Base-T. When viewing the unit from the rear, the revision can be found as an additional aspect of the CPU on the bottom right side of the unit.  This type of port is already found on the CPU 9G and 9H models, which are not produced anymore. The practicality of this additional port (copper) stimulated the addition of this port to the 9J and 9K CPU modules such as the UR-9KH. While this difference in revisions affords the CPU modules with different features in the communication capability, both versions are still compatible with firmware versions ranging from 4.8 to 6.0x.
