The National Instruments PCI-1408 is a PCI-based, monochrome, high-accuracy IMAQ board that supports PAL, RS-170, NTSC, and CCIR video standards and numerous nonstandard imaging devices from each of the four input sources. This model offers an 8-bit resolution, 5-20 MHz pixel clock rate, and one 8-bit look-up table (LUT). For video signal conversion to digital signals, the PCI-IMAQ-1408 comes equipped with an ADC as well. This board is offered in a factory calibrated state, so that users can easily install and begin their image acquisition straightaway. To address various synchronization related issues, this board comes equipped with an integrated RTSI bus, which consists of the ribbon cable and NI RTSI bus interface to route additional trigger and timing signals between the PCI-1408 and as many as four NI DAQ boards installed in a computer. Moreover, the user can utilize the RTSI bus to have multiple National Instruments PCI-IMAQ-1408 image captures. As far as the programming options for this device are concerned, the user has various options to choose from, such as MAQ Vision LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, etc. This IMAQ Device can be operated in two modes: VIDEO0 input mode and External CLK input mode. The VIDEO0 offers two input sources through a BNC connector or DSUB type 25-pint port and can be operated in two modes: differential input (DIFF) and referenced single-ended mode (RSE). While working in RSE mode, the video being acquired utilizes one AI line. This analog input line remains connected to the IMAQ PCI-1408 board`s video multiplexer circuitry. In DIFF mode, the video being acquired consumes two AI signals.
