When you replace a board, inspect the blown fuses to obtain information about the type of fuse to use as a replacement fuse. You can also refer to the written information that came with the board for a list of replacement fuses.

Make sure you only replace a fuse with an exact match. Failure to use an exact match might cause components to be damaged on the board by subjecting them to high voltage. It is easy to identify a blown fuse because in a blown fuse the contact inside the fuse has melted. All that is required to replace the fuse is to pull the fuse out of the connector and press the replacement in the connector.

The fuse can be replaced without removing the board from the board cabinet.  So, all that is required before you begin is to turn off all power to the drive. If you find that the same fuse blows frequently, it is best practice to perform a diagnostic test on the drive to determine the reason for the blown fuses. Once the cause is determined, you can expect your drive to operate at peak efficiency and perform trouble free.
