The IndraControl L40 is a modular and scalable control. It combines the benefits of an embedded-PC architecture with a standardized I/O system with terminals. It is a universal hardware platform that can be used for motion-logic and PLC applications. The hardware is available in systemspecific versions (e.g. with/without SERCOS interface).
It provides onboard interfaces, e.g. high-speed inputs and outputs (8 each) and communication interfaces, such as Ethernet, PROFIBUS, RS232 and SERCOS.
Via the integrated PCI bus, additional modules permit extension of the IndraControl L40 by additional field-bus and technology interfaces, such as DeviceNet and master-axis-encoder interfaces.
The locally available I/O units can be extended by the Rexroth Inline I/O system, just by simply mounting the components side by side.
Application programs, incl. runtime, are completely stored to an easily accessible standardized Compact Flash medium.

The software “IndraWorks Logic” serves to commission and project the IndraLogic L40. It consists of the following components:
• IndraWorks: Project planning, configuration
• IndraLogic: PLC programming
• IndraWorks HMI: Visualization and user interface as well as diagnostic functions (ProVi)
• IndraWorks WinStudio: Engineering tool to create user screens for Software IndraWorks HMI
• IndraLogic L40 TSP: Target files (Target Support Package) are installed required to edit the IndraLogic L40 with IndraWorks and IndraLogic.
