 The Fireye InSight Type 95 flame scanners incorporate an internal flame relay with adjustable ON/OFF thresholds, thereby eliminating the need for a remote flame amplifier. All Fireye inSight scanner models are powered by 24 Vdc, have either a twelve-pin electrical quick disconnect or 10 ft. cable (“CG” models), and contain electronic self-checking (no mechanical shutter required). The scanners contain an eight-character alpha-numeric LED display and a four push-button keypad to enable the user to view operating parameters and select setpoints.

FIREYE InSight 95IR, 95UV, and 95DS flame scanners are microprocessor-based flame scanners that utilize solid-state infrared (IR) or ultraviolet (UV) or dual (IR and UV) sensors. FIREYE InSight Type 95 Flame scanner contains an internal flame relay with adjustable on/off thresholds, thus eliminating the need for a remote flame amplifier.
The InSight scanner is now an alternative to FIREVE45FS1 and 45UVFS1 Signature scanners “” and 45RM4 to detect the presence or absence of a target flame in single or multiple burner applications.
The IlnsSight scanner measures the modulation amplitude (V-flame “flicker”) occurring within the target flame. Select the modulation frequency that produces the best flame on/off discriminant during scanner setup. The appropriate modulation frequency and sensor gain can be selected manually (S1 models) or automatically with manual coverage capability (S2 models).
The InSight 95lR,95UV and 95DS scanners come in two models each, differentiated by function level.
The standard model S1 has three modulation frequency options, adjustable sensor gain, adjustable flame relay ON/OFF threshold, 4-20 mA analog signal strength output, fault relay and two optional programmable files to store set values (for two different fuels or fire rates).
The extended S2 adds AutoTune and manual override capabilities, 21 selected flame flicker frequencies, a total of four selectable programmable files to store set values, plus increased remote communication capabilities via FireyeWindows 95/98/NT user software.
All FIREYE InSight scanner models are powered by 24 Vdc and include electronic self-test
(No mechanical shutter needed). The scanner contains an eight-character alphanumeric LED display and a four (4) key keypad to enable the user to view operational parameters and selections
Anchor point. The “CG” model includes a 10 foot (3 m) captive cable and gland. Non-” CG “models have a 12 pin electrical quick disconnect. A fiber-mounted version of the Insight scanner is also available. For installation instructions, see Bulletin CU-101.
