Overview

Essential details:8440-3004 Woodward Automatic Mains Failure Control

The Woodward easYgen-1600 series compact AMF controller contains a state of the art liquid crystal display (LCD), adequate I/Os and common industrial connectivity for a single-generator set used in critical stand-by or prime power applications with automatic changeover capability. The controllers include purpose-built algorithms and logic to start, stop, control, and protect the genset, open/close circuit breakers and mains supply monitoring with automatic changeover. Equipped with state-of-the-art communication interfaces, Woodward’s easYgen-1000 Series of AMF genset controllers provides exceptional versatility and value for OEM genset packagers.

The control mode can start automatically based on the clock that you are using within the control, if you are using the clock in active day mode it will indicate the day of the month, for example, the number 9 would mean the 9th of every month, it will remain on the 9th for the next 24 hours, this mode could allow for the control to start the engine automatically once a month.

When you are using your control the rated voltage or frequency mains of the control differ, the values for the emergency mode of the control will relate to the generator nominal voltage, and the mains do not have any parameters. You can close the GCB of the control while it is in manual mode, to do so make sure that the generator undervoltage monitoring levels one and two must be enabled so the GCB can be closed.

A battery can be connected to the control, make sure that when doing so that the battery plus side of the battery is connected to one side of the relay while the D+ is connected to the other side and specifically the current limiting resistor, make sure that the current limiting resistor is connected with the correct application, if it is 24 V then it should be 210-240 Ohm.
