The controller can be connected to the 8440-2232 controller, the output of the relay six on the 8440-2232 will activate the discrete input on the other Genset controller model. When you are using your control the critical mode operation of the control takes priority over other operations on the control. While the control is running and a critical mode request the GCB of the control will open and the mains will take over the load of the control.

The rated voltage generator on your control model is going to be related to the secondary values of your generator voltage transformer. When your rated voltage is related to the frequency mains the proportional values for emergency mode will relate to the generator nominal voltage of your control model. When you are using your control and the mains come back after there is a mains failure the GCB will stay closed as long as the mains settling time is in active mode. After the GCB has opened the generator will shut down, to ensure that the control does not experience a dead busbar the unit will need a signal to start in the automatic mode.

Note that the internal time delay between the original and second relay of the duplicate circuit breaker should be in the range of about ten milliseconds or less, be sure that the GCB close command on your control is less than that of one-hundred milliseconds.
