This model is housed in plastic and is typically flush mounted onto the generator you are connecting your controller. Your controller needs to be installed in an area that is cool and dry, the temperature range for storing your controller should be negative thirty to positive eighty degrees Celsius or negative twenty-two degrees to positive one-hundred and seventy-six degrees Fahrenheit; when operating your controller it should be in the temperature range of negative twenty to positive seventy degrees Celsius or negative four degrees to positive one-hundred and fifty-eight degrees Fahrenheit.

The 8440-2047 model comes with an event recorder that is equipped with a real-time clock with battery backup, the event recorder is able to hold up to three hundred real-time events. The controller is equipped with a PC-Tool that is equipped with marine-specific applications such as trending tools, load sharing configurations, and a system overview display.
