Woodward Incorporated manufactures the 8440-1923 controller model from the EasyGen 3000 series, note that the 8440-1923 controller is also labeled as the easYgen-3200-5-P1. The easYgen-3200 models within the 3000 series are housed in plastic and should typically be installed with a clamp fastener installation kit but can also be installed with a screw kit. 

The controller features FlexibleOutputs which control voltage and speed bias outputs, these outputs are freely configurable and should be configured to function with voltage regulators and speed governors.

8440-1923 Woodward EasyGen 3000 series controller

The 8440-1923 controller is offered with PWM, current and voltage analog inputs for the many different applications with your model, these three analog inputs are typically used with voltage and speed biasing. The external jumper and configuration of your controller can alter the multifunction controller output signals. 

The 8440-1923 controller features configurable frequency/voltage controls which allow for manual control of the breakers within the controller. There is also a reactive power regulation feature within your controller, the reactive power regulation occurs at the grid interchange point. There is a main operating frequency on your controller, these parameters typically trigger main failure conditions within the controller and will then activate an emergency run sequence.

When you are using your controller a phase shift is within the change of frequency parameter, this is commonly known as a sudden variation of a voltage curve and may be caused by a significant generator load change within your controller.
