Part of the Woodward Protech-GII series is model 8237-1656. It is an over-speed detection device that can be equipped to work on any size turbine. It will cause a shut down in the event of over acceleration. Product 8237-1656 will work with hydro, steam, and gas turbines, and is also equipped with passive and active MPU detection. This device weighs 17 pounds or less and can be mounted to most cabinets.
