The 8200-226 Servo Position Controller (SPC) is designed as a servo valve driver that can accept either a DeviceNet or 4 to 20 milliampere-based position demand signal. The 8200-226 can accurately position both proportional and integrating servo valves.

8200-226 Woodward Servo Position Controller

The controller is also able to process valve position sensing by accepting the feedback signals from up to two redundant Alternating Current devices, or one Direct Current device. The 8200-226 is installed with Windows-based software to properly configure the model, as well as adjust the tunable components, and monitor the unit’s parameters via a remote personal computer. 

When connecting your controller make sure that the power line you have chosen is being properly protected, to properly protect your controller the line should be a 5 A, 125 V fuse which should be able to stand a 20 A and 100 ms rush when power is applied to the controller. It is also crucial for not only proper function of the controller but proper installation that you make sure your controller has been placed in an area away from potential high-voltages or devices that have high currents, as well as away from places that could receive potential water exposure.
