◾QSFP+ (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable) optical module: four-channel hot-swapable optical module. The QSFP+ optical module supports MPO optical connectors and is larger than the SFP+ optical module. ◾CXP (120 Gb/s eXtended-capability Form Factor Pluggable Module) Optical module: Is a hot-swapable, high-density parallel optical module standard that provides 12 channels in each transmit and receive (Tx/Rx) direction and is only suitable for short-range multimode links.

◾CFP (Centum Form-factor Pluggable) optical module: The dimensions (L x W x H) are 144.75mm x 82mm x 13.6mm. CFP is a high-speed hot-swapable optical module that supports data communication and telecommunication transmission applications.

◾QSFP28 (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable 28) optical module: The interface package size is the same as that of QSFP+. Supports 100 Gbit/s QSFP28 optical module and 40 Gbit/s QSFP+ optical module. l Classification by Physical Layer standards To ensure that data can be transmitted in different forms, various physical layer standards are defined and optical modules supporting various standards are produced. l Fiber is classified into single-mode fiber and multi-mode fiber. In order to use different types of optical fibers, single-mode optical modules and multi-mode optical modules are produced.

◾ Single-mode optical module is used with single-mode optical fibers. Single mode optical fiber has wide transmission frequency band and large transmission capacity, and is suitable for long distance transmission. ◾ Multi-mode optical module is used with multi-mode optical fibers. Multi-mode fiber has mode dispersion defect, its transmission performance is worse than single-mode fiber, but the cost is low, suitable for small capacity, short distance transmission.
