Semiconductor thyristor module
The working principle of thyristor module is based on the characteristics of thyristor. Thyristor is a four-layer semiconductor device with three PN junctions, which has dual switching characteristics: on the one hand, it has a large positive blocking ability; On the other hand, under the control of a small current, it has a large unidirectional conductivity.
When the anode of the thyristor receives a forward voltage, the PN junction inside the thyristor is in a forward blocking state, and the current cannot pass through the thyristor. When enough forward voltage is applied to the anode of the thyristor, the PN junction within it is triggered and switched on, and the current can flow through the thyristor, and this state will be maintained until the reverse voltage is applied or the forward current is reduced below the maintenance current, the thyristor will return to the cut-off state.
Therefore, the thyristor module realizes the control of alternating current on and off by controlling the trigger and off state of the thyristor, so as to achieve various control and adjustment functions.
