Product Description

Compatible with hydro, gas, and steam turbines, the 5437-1080 HV/LV Spare Module for ProTech-GII models 8237-1244 and -1367 functions to safely shut said engines down. With a 2-out-of-3 voted architecture ProTech allows for one really to be tested or replaced while the other two are functioning. Each of the three independent relays has individual alarms as well as connections for the enclosure’s keypad display. The 5437-1080 along with the rest of the series is designed for critical applications where both personnel safety and unit availability is a concern or necessity. When installed correctly, this unit’s larger enclosure will provide IP56 moisture and dust protection

5437-1080 Woodward Spare Individual Relay

Model 5437-1078 High-Voltage/Low-Voltage Voted Spare Relay Module for ProTech models -1246, and -1369.  In addition to acceleration detection, this safety device also uses open-wire MPU detection and communication with speed readouts of 4-20 mA. The sulfur-resistant conformal coating allows for this safety device to be used in class 3C2 environments. The 5437-1078 is certified as a Safety Integrity Level 3 safety device and can be applied as a stand-alone IEC61508-based device or within an IEC61511-based plant safety system.
