Product Description

Individual Woodward model 5437-1079 for ProTech-GII series of Fault Detection Systems. This product uses 2-out-of-3 voted architecture, and three non-voted trip relay outputs, allowing for one to fail or be worked on while the others are functioning. It’s compatible with hydro, gas, and steam turbines, functioning to safely shut them down. Each of the three independent relays has individual alarms.

Unit 5437-1079 High-Voltage/High-Voltage Voted Spare Relay Module for ProTech models -1247, and -1370. Failures in system components are detected, users are alerted, and the 2-out-of-3 redundancy allows for repair or replacement while the monitored system continues to operate online. This series is designed for critical applications where both personnel safety and unit availability is a concern or necessity.

The safety module is a Safety Integrity Level 3 safety device and can be applied as a stand-alone IEC61508-based device or within an IEC61511-based plant safety system with a sulfur-resistant conformal coating for class 3C2 environments.
