The Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) with catalog number 5069-L320ERS2 is a Compact GuardLogix controller from Allen-Bradley. It is part of the modern and enhanced version of PAC devices, being part of the CompactLogix 5380 product family. This controller series is specifically designed to meet the modern safety, control, connectivity and integration requirements of the industry. It is SIL 2 rated with 1oo2 architecture.
With the built-in Two (2) Ethernet interfaces, this controller is able to communicate with existing or newly installed Ethernet networks that implement Linear, Star and Ring topologies. These ports may function in Dual IP node wherein each port is assigned with unique IP address and Linear / DLR mode where both ports share the same IP address, acting as an integrated switch. These ports support transmission speed of 10 / 100 / 1000 Mbps transfer speed. In addition, the controller is provided with One (1) USB port which can perform all type of communication and function except industrial connectivity. This USB port supports up to 12 Mbps communication speed.
The 5069-L320ERS2 is a Compact GuardLogix controller has 2 MB user memory, dedicated for standard function and 1 MB safety memory for safety functionality. It also supports up to 32 Tasks wherein 31 tasks are for standard functions and the remining 1 task is exclusively assigned for safety task. Regardless of the type of task, each task can handle up to 1000 programs and utilize all event triggers made available to the controller.
This controller is DIN rail mounted device and powered by an external supply voltage of 18-32VDC with current of 475 mA. It has a power dissipation of 9.0 W and thermal dissipation of 30.9 BTU/hr.

This Compact GuardLogix controller accepts a maximum of 16 local I/O modules. The controller supports the dual-IP and linear/DLR modes along with the use of the Compact 5000 I/O modules as local or remote I/O modules. The controller can accept up to 40 nodes and 32 socket interfaces at a time. The unit also supports 31 standard controller tasks and 1 safety task. In addition to that, the controller has a user memory capacity of 2 megabytes and it also has 1 megabyte of safety memory. It can be used in nearly all non-hazardous industrial environments. The 5069-L320ERS2 controller has a MOD power voltage range of 18 to 32 Volts DC (SELV/PELV) and a maximum MOD power current rating of 475 milliamps. The MOD power inrush current rating is 1200 milliamps for a duration of 125 milliseconds. The controller has a continuous isolation voltage of 50 or 300 Volts, depending on the insulation type. The thermal dissipation rating of the 5069-L320ERS2 controller is 30.9 BTU per hour and the power dissipation rating of the controller is 9 Watts of power. Additionally, the controller has a USB 2.0 (Type B) programming port that is used for temporary connections, configurations, and updates. The 5069-L320ERS2 controller uses a Secure Digital (SD) card for storage and it mounts on a DIN rail. The controller’s package includes a 2-gigabyte SD card.
