5069-IB16 Allen-Bradley discrete input module
This module DIN rail mounted. Similar to any other modules of this series, it is provided with a DIN rail latch as well as top and bottom interlocking piece to ensure proper alignment of the to adjacent modules. This module is used with a removable terminal block (RTB) for wiring of input signals. Compatible RTB for this module includes 5069-RTB18-SPRING RTB and 5069-RTB18-SCREW RTB. When making signal connections, appropriate wire size is 0.5-1.5 mm2 (22-16 AWG) solid or stranded shielded copper wire with insulation rating of 105 °C (221 °F), or higher and maximum diameter including insulation of 2.9 mm (0.11 in.). Only One (1) wire is recommended per terminal when using a spring type RTB. Similarly, when screw type RTB is used, recommended wire size is 0.5-1.5 mm2 (22…16 AWG) solid or stranded shielded copper wire with insulation rating of 105 °C (221 °F), or higher and maximum diameter of 3.5 mm (0.14 in.) including insulation.
The input voltage of this module is ranged from 10-32V DC. The maximum inrush current (MOD power) of this module is 75 mA. The passthrough voltage (MOD power) of this module is from 18-32V DC. The maximum power dissipation of this module is 3.9 W. The maximum thermal dissipation of this module is 13.3 BTU/hr. The Allen-Bradley 5069-IB16 is supplied as open-type equipment. The 5069-IB16 is intended for use in industrial environments. This module is used in a pollution 2 environment (as defined in EN/ IEC0664-1) when applied in a Zone 2 environment. The enclosure should be accessible only by means of an appliance. Please use a separate external power supply for MOD power and SA power. This can prevent undesirable consequences that can occur if you use only one.
