The 3500/77M Recip Cylinder Pressure Monitor is a 4-channel monitor that accepts input from Bently Nevada approved pressure transducers, conditions the signal to make various pressure measurements for reciprocating compressors, and compares the conditioned signals with user-programmable alarms.
The primary purpose of the 3500/77M monitor is to provide:
l Machinery protection by continuously comparing monitored parameters against configured alarm setpoints to drive alarms.
l Essential machine information for operations and maintenance personnel.
Depending on configuration, each channel typically conditions its input signal to provide various parameters called measured variables. Users can configure Alert setpoints for each active measured variable and Danger setpoints for any two of the active measured variables.
Each channel of the 3500/77M will provide eight measured variable values that relate to cylinder pressure operation. The five values that relate to a single chamber are as follows:
l Discharge Pressure
l Suction Pressure
l Maximum Pressure
l Minimum Pressure
l Compression Ratio

The 3500/77M Formula cylinder pressure Monitor is a four-channel monitor that receives signals from sensors licensed by Bently Nevada, processes the signals, converts them into a variety of reciprocating compressor cylinder pressure measurement parameters, and compares them with user-programmable alarm values. Its main functions are:
The monitored parameters are continuously compared with the configured alarm setting point to activate the alarm and protect the machine.
Provide important machine information to operation and maintenance personnel.
Depending on the configuration, each channel typically translates the input signal into various parameters, called “proportional values” or PPL. Each effective proportion value (PPL) can be configured as a warning setting point, and any two effective proportion values can be configured as a danger setting point. Each channel of 3500/77M will provide eight PPL values associated with cylinder pressure operation. The five PPL values are related to the following parameters of the combustion chamber:
Exhaust pressure
Inspiratory pressure
Maximum pressure
Minimum pressure
Compression ratio
In addition, three PPL values take one or more channel values and are combined with the mechanical parameters of the configuration to calculate their values, such as peak rod pressure, peak rod tension and piston rod reverse Angle.
