Available in AC and DC forms, the 3500/15 is compatible with voltage sources around the world. It uses line noise filtering as the standard form. A single power supply can be used in the frame or redundant dual power supplies can be used when the power supply is not allowed to be interrupted. 3500/15 AC and DC power supplies are half-height modules that must be installed in the designated slot on the left side of the rack. The 3500 rack can contain one or two power supplies providing any combination of AC and DC. Any power supply can power the entire rack. When two power supplies are installed in the rack, the lower slot is used as the primary power supply and the other slot is located in the upper slot for the backup power supply. If installed, the second power supply is a backup to the main power supply. Removing or inserting any PSU will not interrupt the operation of the rack with a second power supply.
