330101-00-12-05-02-00 is a 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe manufactured by Bently Nevada. Additionally, the 3300 XL probe and extension cable represent advancements over earlier models. The bond between the probe tip and the probe body is stronger thanks to a unique TipLoc molding process. In order to more firmly attach the probe cable and probe tip, the probe’s cable features a unique CableLoc design that offers 330 N (75 lbf) of pull strength. Additionally, you can order extension cables and 3300 XL 8 mm probes with the optional FluidLoc* cable option. Through the interior of the cable, this option stops oil and other liquids from leaking out of the machine. Corrosion-resistant, gold-plated ClickLoc* connectors are used on the 3300 XL probe, extension cable, and Proximity sensor.

  • The specially-engineered locking mechanism on these connectors prevents the connectors from losing and only requires finger-tight torque (the connectors will “click” when tight). No special tools are needed to install or remove these connectors. You can get extension cables and 8 mm 3300 XL probes with connector shields already attached. For field installations, we can also provide connector shields separately (such as when an application must run the cable through a restrictive conduit). To boost environmental protection8, we advise connector protectors for all installations.
  • For applications where either the probe lead or extension cable may exceed the usual 177 °C (350 °F) temperature specification, an extended temperature range (ETR) probe and ETR extension cable are offered. The extended temperature rating for the ETR probe is 218 °C (425 °F). Up to 260 C (500 F), the ETR extension cable is rated. Standard temperature probes and cables can be used with the ETR probe and cable because they are both compatible with them. For instance, you can use an ETR probe with the 330130 extension cable. The 3300 XL Proximity Sensor is a common sensor used by the ETR system. You should be aware that any ETR component you utilize in your system will limit its accuracy to that of the ETR system.

  • The specifications mentioned apply to a 3300 XL 8 mm proximity sensor with an extension cable and 8 mm probe between +18 and +27 C (+64 to +80 F), a -24 Vdc power supply, a 10 k load, an AISI 4140 steel target, and a probe gapped at 1.27 mm unless otherwise stated (50 mils). Systems that only contain 3300 XL 8 mm components are subject to certain performance characteristics.
  • Transducer systems that are calibrated to targets other than our AISI 4140 steel target are not covered by the system accuracy and interchangeability criteria.
  • The ISF stays within 18% of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil) and the DSL stays within 0.152 mm (6 mils) over a probe temperature range of -35 °C to +120 °C (-31 °F to +248 °F) with the Proximity sensor and extension cable from 0 °C to +45 °C (+32 °F to +113 °F).
