Products Description
The PanelView™ Plus 7 Performance terminals are operator interface devices. They monitor and control devices that are attached to ControlLogix® and CompactLogix™ 5370 controllers on an EtherNet/IP network. Animated graphic and text displays provide operators a view into the operating state of a machine or process. Operators interact with the control system by using touch screen or keypad input.
Features include the following:
• FactoryTalk® View Machine Edition software, version 8.1, provides a familiar environment for creating HMI applications
• Windows CE operating system with desktop access for configuration and third-party applications
• Connection to ControlLogix or CompactLogix 5370 controllers
• Ethernet communication that can support device-level ring (DLR), linear, or star network topologies
• Web browser, Microsoft file viewers, text editor, PDF viewer, remote desktop connection, and media player on the terminal desktop

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T12C15D2 is a PanelView Plus operator terminal. This operator terminal is specifically part of the PanelView Plus 1250 product category which specifically features a 12.1-inch Color active matrix, Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) with liquid crystal display (LCD). It has a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels and an available display area of 246 x 184 millimeters (9.7 x 7.2 in.). The available input interface of this operator terminal is a touch interface, designed to be operated at an actuating force of 10-110 g and expected actuation limit of 1 million presses.
The embedded communication interfaces available to this module include one (1) RS-232 serial interface that supports DF1 and point-to-point DH-485 communication protocols; ControlNet communication port for Coaxial based Controlnet communication protocol and RJ-45 for Ethernet I/P communication protocol. This variety of communication ports enable this operator terminal to be connected in legacy, mature, and modern industrial networks without the need of specialty or add-on communication modules and peripherals.
Additionally, the 2711P-T12C15D2 has an embedded logic module with integrated memory of 128 MB. It also has a battery backed Real-Time Clock (RTC) with an accuracy of +/-2 minutes per month. This enables the operator terminal to timestamp critical data and events. The back-up battery is filed replaceable with expected lifespan of 4 years when operated at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius or 77 degrees Fahrenheit.
