Essential details:2080-LC30-24QBB Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controller

The Allen-Bradley™ Micro830 Logic Controller, 2080-LC30-24QBB, is a cost-effective control solution for end-users and machine builders’ small applications.  It has fourteen (14) 24-Volt DC/AC inputs and ten (10) 24-Volt output points.  The maximum digital I/O that can be achieved on this controller is 48. The 2080-LC30-24QBB features four High Speed Counter (abbreviated to HSC) inputs, plug-in slots that can be customised according to user needs, Modbus RTU protocols for the serial ports, an integrated and non-isolated USB 2.0 port for programming (using any standard USB printer cable), a non-isolated serial port (RS232/485), and high speed input interrupts.  It does not have a base Ethernet/IP port. As many as three plug-in modules can be easily incorporated into this controller; machine builders can easily customize the controller through these plug-in modules and increase machine functionality without increasing the controller’s footprint.

2080-LC30-24QBB Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controller

The maximum number of program steps (or instructions) and data (bytes) is 10 Ksteps and 20 Kbytes respectively.  Its integrated motion capabilities with 2 axes of motion enables the following motion instructions: up to two 100KHz Pulse Train Outputs (PTO) for low cost wiring to servo drives and steppers, TouchProbe instruction (a more precise method of registering the position of an axis, as opposed to using interrupts), and single axis moves that are supported via Motion Function Blocks.  Motion is made easier through MoveVelocity, home and position instructions, and graphical configuration of motion parameters.  As with all members of the Micro 800 family, this controller’s password protection feature is provided for enhanced security.

Power is supplied to the 2080-LC30-24QBB via a base unit with a 24 Volt DC power supply.  In addition, there is provision for an optional external 120 to 240 Volts AC power supply.  The minimum and maximum operating temperatures for this unit are -20 degrees Celsius and 65 degrees Celsius, respectively.
