The 1794-ACNR15XT adapter is a Flex I/O ControlNet adapter module. It is designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The 1794-ACNR15XT Series D module is approved for use in hazardous locations where vapors, mist, and gases are not likely to occur frequently. The 1794-ACNR15XT adapter should not be disconnected in hazardous locations unless the power has been removed first. The connections to the module should also not be disconnected until and unless the module power has also been removed. Only a soft anti-static cloth should be used to clean the 1794-ACNR15XT adapter and cleaning agents should not be used. The 1794-ACNR15XT adapter should also be protected against electrostatic discharge. The dimensions of the 1794-ACNR15XT adapter are 87.4 x 94 x 92 millimeters. The weight of the module is approximately 220 grams.

The 1794-ACNR15XT adapter complies with the T4A North American temperature code, and with the T4 ATEX and IECEx temperature codes. The communication cable recommended for use with the module is the Belden RG-6/U cable. Category 3 wire should be used for the power ports and Category 2 wire should be used for the communication ports. For power connections, 22 to 12 AWG solid/stranded copper wire should be used. The terminal screw torque should not exceed 7 pounds on an inch. The peak power dissipation of the 1794-ACNR15XT adapter is 3.4 Watts at 19.2 Volts DC. Indicators for displaying the status of the 2 communication ports and the I/O status are provided on the module. There are a total of 8 I/O modules on the 1794-ACNR15XT adapter. The module runs on DC input voltage ranging from 19.2 to 31.2 Volts DC. The current consumption of the module is 400 milliamps.
