The 1203-GK5 module mounts on a DIN rail system and connects to SCANport products with the use of a SCANport cable. Some features on the module include DIP switches to enable the user to configure the module before connecting it to the DeviceNet network. The module also has a Faulted Node Recovery system, enabling one to change the node address of a device. The user fault response configuration allows the user to customize the adapter actions to communication errors, and LEDs aid in diagnosing network and SCANport health. Required tools and equipment to set up the 1203-GK5 are as follows: DeviceNet communications module (1203-GK5), either a 5-pin or 10-pin plug-in connector, 35 x 7.5 mm DIN rail, 1/8” flathead screwdriver, and appropriate cables for SCANport and DeviceNet connections.
