With its superior protection, control capabilities, measurement accuracy and communication flexibility, this device provides a strong support for the intelligent management of utility and industrial power systems.
I. Product overview
The REF615E-G is ABB’s smart electronic device (IED) designed for feeder protection measurement and control, including primary protection of overhead lines and cable feeders in distribution networks, as well as backup protection of equipment such as transformers. The device integrates protection, control, measurement, communication, monitoring and arc protection functions, and is fully developed and designed according to the international standard IEC 61850 platform, supporting the interoperability and horizontal communication of intelligent devices in the station.
2. Technical highlights
Comprehensive protection features: The REF615E-G provides directional and non-directional overcurrent and ground fault protection, supporting overvoltage, low voltage, zero sequence voltage protection, thermal overload protection, sensitive ground protection and quick-break ground protection (including intermittent ground protection).
Integrated arc protection: The device also integrates a flexible multi-turn reclosing function to achieve pre-reclosing, post-reclosing acceleration and hand-closing acceleration. Add optional accessories, can also directly integrate three arc protection channels, without additional purchase and installation of arc protection devices can realize the switch cabinet circuit breaker, cable and bus room arc detection and rapid protection.
Strong communication capability: Support IEC 61850 protocol to truly realize the mutual communication between intelligent devices in the station, but also support the industry standard Modbus communication protocol, and IEC 608705-103.
Friendly man-machine interface: equipped with LCD display and buttons, simple and intuitive operation, in line with IEC standards, to ensure product quality and reliability.
